CVAA Compliance

In order to comply with the Twenty-First Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act of 2010 (CVAA), Minerva has implemented text-to-speech functionality in the set-top box client. When the text-to-speech functionality is active the client will dictate on-screen data and context so that visually impaired end users can more easily navigate the user interface. This includes navigation and selection of live TV programs in the program guide, on-demand assets in the on-demand menu, and personal recordings. On-screen dialogs and selection options are dictated to users as well. The functionality is supported on the following set-top box models from Amino: Amulet 655m / Amulet 656 / Kamai 650m / Kamai 651 The text-to-speech functionality may be turned on and off through the Amino Hardware Settings menu.
