Noah Bower, Financial Office Assistant

With his command of spreadsheets and financial savvy, Noah Bower brings a strong work ethic with bright personality to our team. Noah can sometimes be seen helping our front desk by working the drive-thru and providing excellent support to our customers via phone calls. Recently, Noah has provided Citizens with some graphic designs and assisted the marketing department. We are wondering what other talents he will share with us next. Outside of Citizens, Noah is also a published Illustrator with his Comic “Oh, Help Us”

What is your favorite thing to do during your off time?

I enjoy spending time with my family and with my girlfriend. I also like going out and playing golf even though I struggle, but I have decided it’s just best to go out and have fun anyway.

What is your favorite thing about your home?

My favorite part of my home is my family, and I have always loved our backyard since it gives us a little privacy to enjoy some games and sitting by our fire pit. I also love Jackie, our little dog who never seems to slow down.

Tell us about something on your bucket list.

Someday, I would love to travel across the country to see all 50 states. I think it is nice to see how the landscapes and the people change as you travel along our nation.

What was the last show you binge-watched? What made it interesting?

The last show I actually binge-watched was Schitt's Creek, and I really enjoyed the cast of strange characters. I really like the actors Eugene Levy and Dan Levy. They were writers for the show and are father and son in life and in their show.

Are you into podcasts or do you only listen to music?

My favorite podcast is Crime Junkie, which is a true crime podcast run by two ladies based in Indiana. Their podcasts are very thorough, and I hear about cases that I would never have known about without them.

When it comes to music, I love so many genres. I love classic country and rock, folk music, gospel, and all the decades 50s-80s. My favorite singer to listen to is Linda Ronstadt. I think I was born a little too late.

What do you remember most about your first job?

I started out working as a cart attendant at Great Oaks Country Club in Floyd. I remember laughing with my boss and coworkers and enjoyed seeing all the regulars that played every day. Thankfully, I only got one golf cart stuck on a wet hillside in my time working there.

What is a little-known fact about you?

I actually write a comic strip called "Oh, Help Us" that has run in a local paper here in Floyd, but I would love to see it go further than Floyd someday. I also would love for the comic to reach people online.

What is the secret to a good life?

I think the secret to a good life is being faithful to God and letting Jesus in your heart. I think a good life is full of praying and trying to show patience and kindness to others.

Have you ever disliked something and changed your mind?

As a child, I never enjoyed singing in front of people. I always hated when I was made to sing at church or school, but I guess something changed because as of now I have been part of 4 choirs! I also was lucky enough to get to sing at Carnegie Hall with the Radford Chorus. I love to sing, and I love to play the piano for my church and for myself.
