Megan Bond, Financial Office Assistant

Meet our youngest addition to the Finance Team at Citizens. Scholarship award winner, and recent Floyd HS Graduate, Megan is a dynamic addition to our Citizens family. From daring to take on the Harry Potter Rollercoasters to enjoying leisure time listening to K-Pop music while soaking in a classic novel, Megan never seems to have a dull moment.

What is your favorite thing to do during your off time?

My favorite things to do in my off time are reading books and going shopping.

How do you plan to use your Volunteer Time Off?

So far I have used my VTO helping out "The Perfect Gift Shop" in Floyd.

Tell us about something on your bucket list.

Something on my bucket list is to travel to Seoul, Korea. I love Korean culture and It's my dream to visit Seoul one day and learn more about their culture.

Are you into podcasts or do you only listen to music?

I only listen to music and I mainly listen to k-pop which is Korean Pop Music (and no I'm not fluent in Korean....yet). I listen to k-pop because all of the songs are really upbeat and never fail to put me in a good mood.

What do you remember most about your first job?

My first job was as a waitress at Jim's Grill and I remember most, my "work momma" Nichole, and all my favorite regulars.

What makes you feel most alive?

Driving down the road on a summer day with the windows all the way down and my music blasting makes me feel the most alive.

What is the scariest thing you have ever done for fun?

The scariest thing I have ever done for fun was riding a very intense roller coaster at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (I am not a fan of roller coasters and I will never ride one again )

What is the secret to a good life?

I think the secret to a good life is to serve God and trust that he knows what is best for you in your life. ("Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding" Proverbs 3:5-6)
