Liz Quesenberry, Mapping Specialist

A county-wide fiber deployment is no simple task. It takes a knowledgeable and skilled team. As Citizens completes fiber jobs, Liz helps keep the fiber map updated, enters fiber records, and attaches the splice sheet detail to the plant records, assisting the fiber technicians in their job.  She also works with sales consultants to determine available services and helps draw staking sheets for new construction. Liz says, “Each day is different, and I am super thankful that everyone can work so well together as a family.”

What is your favorite thing to do on your off time?

My favorite thing to do in my off time involves spending quality time with my fiancé Logan, visiting family, and doing anything and everything outdoors if the weather is decent!

How do you plan to use your Volunteer Time Off?

In the winter, I enjoy volunteering at the Montgomery County Christmas Store. This summer, however, I want to be more involved in my hometown of Floyd, working with Plenty and Angels in the Attic.

What is a little-known fact about you?

I’m a lefty, which only make up about 11% of the population.

What is your favorite thing about your home?

My favorite thing about my current home is that it is the one that I grew up in. My dad left it for me, which has allowed my fiancé and me to have a great start to life when we get married this October.

With the childhood memories of growing up in this house, I wouldn’t trade it for the world. A true blessing like that to start out with is more than I deserve, and it’s all thanks to my awesome dad!

What is the secret to a good life?

I think the biggest secrets to a great life are being honest and humble, charitable to others, and following your heart where God leads you.

Tell us about something on your bucket list.

One goal of mine is to see every NFL team play at least once and visiting every stadium in the USA! I have traveled to Charlotte, North Carolina to watch the Panthers, and as Andrew and I know, that’s the only team that really matters :)

What was the last show you binge-watched? What made it enjoyable?

The last shows I binge-watched were “The Blacklist” and “Cobra Kai” on Netflix. I instantly fell in with both shows and am currently trying to finish “The Walking Dead”.

Are you into podcasts, or do you only listen to music?

I rarely listen to podcasts, but I have enjoyed listening to the Joe Rogan Experience because of the diversity he has on his show. When it comes to music, I listen to quite a wide variety. Anything from rock, country, rap, gospel, bluegrass, metal, alternative–you name it! (Except for classical.) My favorite of them all is 70’s – 80’s rock. I get this from my dad; we share many memories, concerts, and great experiences through music!

What do you remember most about your first job?

The first job I ever had was working at Wildwood Farms General Store when I was a Sophomore/Junior in high school. What I remember most has to be the sweet family I worked for, the bluegrass music, having my best friend Clara there working with me, and most of all, our boss forcing us to flat foot and sing in front of crowds on Sunday Jam sessions! I still love going by there for lunch to visit them. Support local business!

What makes you feel most alive?

I feel most alive when I can get outdoors in the sunshine and take the time to reflect on all the blessings God has provided me with.
