Guy Smith, Security/Broadband Tech

As one of the newest members of the Citizens’ family, Guy spends his days doing lots of hands-on training with the Security and Broadband Techs. He has a broad scope of knowledge from camera and automation installation to fiber ONT and home run wiring.

What is your favorite thing to do on your off time?

I like to hunt and ride four-wheelers.

How do you plan to use your Volunteer Time Off?

I would like to use my VTO to help Habitat for Humanity.

What is your favorite thing about your home?

The favorite thing about my house is that it’s out in the country, and I don’t have a lot of other houses close by.

Tell us about something on your bucket list.

I would like to go sky diving because I think it would be cool to fly through the air at over 100 MPH.

What was the last show you binge-watched? What made it interesting?

The last show I binged watch was The Blacklist. It was interesting because you never knew what crazy thing was gonna happen next.

Are you into podcasts or do you only listen to music?

I mainly listen to music. My favorite type of music is old country like Waylon Jennings.

What do you remember most about your first job?

I worked at Slaughters Supermarket for my first job. The thing I remember most about the job is having to ask all the customers if they would like paper or plastic bags.

What makes you feel most alive? 

I feel most alive when I’m sitting in a tree stand and watching deer.
