Josh Stokes, Video Production Editor

Josh has been working for Citizens for the last 2 years. Combining his love of Floyd and video production, Josh sets out to capture what makes Floyd unique and beautiful and share it with all the viewers on Citizens Channel 20.

What is your favorite thing to do during your off time?

Work with natural settings for photography, drone work, kayak, and I love to learn something new even when I am terrible at it.

How do you plan to use your Volunteer Time Off?

I plan on volunteering at Plenty! And the SWVA Wildlife Center.

What is your favorite thing about your home?

The view. I have an amazing view from my front porch. Also, my animals are a great aspect of my rural home.

Are you into podcasts or do you only listen to music?

I really only listen to music. I favor classical when doing computer work, and classic country for my recreational activities.

What do you remember most about your first job?

I remember my boss the most. He was a good man who gave me an opportunity when work was hard to find.

What makes you feel most alive?

Playing games. Anything from Chess to Volleyball.

What is a little-known fact about you?

I was using Mayochup 5 years before it was put into bottles.

What is the scariest thing you have ever done for fun?

Cable system free falling.

What is something on your bucket list?

I want to see the Northern Lights

Why do you want to do that?

I think the better question is “Why wouldn’t anyone want to do that?”

What is the secret to a good life?

Fight to do what brings joy. Love without reservation. Always have faith in the Father.

Have you ever disliked something and changed your mind?

Asparagus. I used to hate it, but it is now one of my favorite veggies, especially when it is lightly seasoned and fresh off the grill.
