Floyd Initiative for Safe Housing, or F.I.S.H., was started in 2017 to make sure everyone can live in a home that is safe, warm, and dry. By requesting volunteers who can help with building and repair, FISH helps members of the community get access to repair services that can keep them living in their houses comfortably. Citizens’ employees, Jay Conner, Jeff Belshan, and Rocky Huff, volunteered their time to replace subflooring in a local home. Being no strangers to elbow grease and a can-do attitude, Jay, Jeff, and Rocky were able to make a house a home again, and to that family, a solid floor makes all the difference.
