Elizabeth spends a lot of time on the phone, answering calls and calling customers to help them with their technology needs. If she’s not on the phone, you might find her collaborating with other teams at Citizens to coordinate new service installs. She likes to stay busy!
What is your favorite thing to do on your off time?
I am very involved in dog rescue and am VP and Foster Coordinator for Rottweiler Hearts Rescue. (Contact me outside of work hours if you would like to foster or adopt!) I also enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities and reading.
How do you plan to use your Volunteer Time Off?
I volunteer at Angels in the Attic. Before Covid, I had a lot more volunteer plans for this year. I love that Citizens provides time for employees to volunteer!
What are some little known facts about you?
I have my motorcycle license and love to ride.
What is your favorite thing about your home?
I love being able to walk out of my door to visit my horses.
What is the secret to a good life?
Helping others, being passionate about something, and believing in a higher power.
What is the scariest thing you’ve ever done for fun?
Sledding in Austria. It started out fun, but the mountain turned to ice before I reached the bottom. I still went up again, but it was a little more out of control the second time, and there were no safety nets.
Tell us about something on your bucket list.
Visiting Italy. I lived in Germany for five years and visited many countries but never made it to Italy. I think the historical sites and architecture would be amazing to see. I also want to skydive for the thrill of it. Maybe I can kill two birds with one stone someday.
What was the last show you binge-watched? What made it enjoyable?
Yellowstone, after several customer recommendations. I love the scenery!
Have you ever disliked something and then changed your mind?
Onions! I still don’t eat raw onions, but I have realized how much flavor caramelized onions add to some dishes.
Tell us about a pet peeve you have.
Whistling (I find it distracting).
What makes you feel most alive?
Rescuing a dog from a shelter that is at risk of being euthanized and finding a new family where the dog can have a second chance at a great life.
