Annual Meeting FAQ

Why are you not having the traditional in-person, indoor meeting?

Due to ongoing health concerns related to COVID-19, it is in the best interest of our members to continue to social distance. Also, at this time, the state of VA is not allowing indoor gatherings of more than 10 at this time.

How do I register for the meeting?

To register, you will drive to our Floyd office located at 220 Webbs Mill Road, on Saturday, October 17, 2020, enter in the lower drive.  Our staff will direct to the Registration area, at the back of the building. You will remain in your vehicle to register. You will then be directed into a parking space.

Will I receive a gift by registering for the meeting?

Yes. The voting member will receive a small gift as you are normally accustomed to at our traditional Annual meetings.

Can I vote and get my gift without coming to the Annual Meeting?

Yes. If you cannot attend the meeting, you may vote by returning your Proxy to our Drive-up window at 220 Webbs Mill Road, any weekday between 8 am - 6 pm or on Saturday between 9 am - 1 pm. No proxies will be accepted after 5 pm on Thursday, October 15, 2020. You will receive your Member Gift when you return your proxy.

Will there be door prizes given away during the meeting?

No door prize tickets will be given this year. No drawings will be held for door prizes.

Will there be refreshments or mal at this Drive-Up Annual Meeting?

No.

Will there be space available for me to attend the Annual Meeting?

This is a drive-thru Annual Meeting.  We ask that after you drive-up to register for the meeting, please park in the designated area and stay in your vehicle.  You will be asked to tune your vehicle radio to 87.9 FM to hear the Annual Meeting Speakers.  We will ask that you stand for the Pledge of Allegiance at which time you may exit your vehicle wearing a mask. Citizens will provide two masks in your Member Gift Bag.  Please return to your car. Do not leave your parking space.
