Rocky Huff, Broadband Technician

Rocky’s day at Citizens starts out action planning with the other Broadband Technicians. Together they look at their installs, trouble tickets, and other tasks for the day. This is a good time for teambuilding and learning about new equipment. Rocky then stocks his truck with the equipment needed for his tasks. He then heads out to his morning installation.

What is your favorite thing to do on your off time?

Spending time with my family. We love playing games–cards or sports outside. And we like the outdoors in general. I really enjoy hunting, fishing, and riding four wheelers.

What is a little known fact about you?

I was born in 1980, and my brother named me Rocky because he liked the Rocky movies. My parents went with it. I get asked all the time, Is Rocky your real name or a nickname?

Are you into podcasts or do you only listen to music? What do you listen to and why?

I love almost all music but mainly bluegrass and contemporary Christian music like Crowder, Casting Crowns and so on. I am also a fan of the old, clean comedy of Jerry Clower and Ray Stevens.

What is your favorite thing about your home?

My grandpa and his brothers and my dad and a couple of my uncles built the house. It is also my wife’s grandparents’ place, and we were able to buy it after they passed.

What is the secret to a good life?

A strong and close relationship with Jesus.

Have you ever disliked something and then changed your mind?

Mayonnaise. I never would try or eat anything that had mayo in it and always said I did not like it until I got married and wanted to eat what my wife fixed. Now I love it! Duke’s is my favorite.
