At Citizens you’ll often see Hari loaded down with video gear or squinting into the viewfinder of her Nikon. She takes company photos, creates video content for Citizens CCTV, Channel 20, manages Citizens’ Social Media, and writes content such as blog posts and commercial scripts.

What is your favorite thing to do on your off time?

I love to spend time outside with my family and friends. One of my favorite things to do is camp where there is no internet access. I love a good technology sabbatical. Hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, and paddle boarding are some of my favorite things.

What is a little known fact about you?

I build a mean campfire. I’m also really into budgeting. Like I do it for fun.

How do you use your Volunteer Time Off?

I volunteer at Plenty! for my VTO hours. This year I did the Food Lion pickup which means I loaded my car with meat and bakery donations and sorted and stored it in the coolers at Plenty! I love being at Plenty! around the abundance in action.

What is your favorite thing about your home?

I love that we had a vision for our home place, found the land, made a plan, and built it with our own hands. I love that I can look down the hill and see the tiny house we lived in while we built our big house. I love that our tiny house is now a welcoming place for people all over the world who come to stay there via Airbnb.

What makes you feel most alive?

I feel most alive when I’m connecting with others. I love when I get the opportunity to learn something new about someone and see them in a different light.
